It should be set to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">121\u00b0C for 60 minutes, using a dry cycle run, and otherwise used as per the manufacturer\u2019s instructions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>A breast pump steam bag. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These handy tools are for sanitizing parts of breast pump equipment in your microwave. They\u2019re easy to use and claim to kill 99.9 % of common bacteria and germs. Check for any that\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>A menstrual cup steam sanitizer. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0There are several steam cleaners on the market specifically for menstrual cups. Be warned, not all machines are made to the same standard, so be sure to do your research. We can\u2019t check the quality of all such devices so we can\u2019t ensure that they are as thorough as they say that they are, or that they will not damage your cup.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Clean Your Menstrual Cup\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cleaning your cup during your cycle is as easy as a thorough rinse and some <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">alcohol-free antibacterial soap<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! Some people like to clean their cup in the shower as it\u2019s discreet and easy to do after emptying their cup. Here are ways to remove stains or smells from your menstrual cup:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Hydrogen peroxide (1%):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You can find this in most drug stores or pharmacies. Use one part 1% hydrogen peroxide and one part water. Submerge your cup and let it soak for 24 hours. Give it a good, thorough wash to remove all of the hydrogen peroxide residues before using it or storing it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Apple cider vinegar (diluted in water): <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This might be as effective as hydrogen peroxide, but chances are you have some around the house! Use 2 Tbsp (30 ml) to 1 cup (250 ml)\u00a0 water. Submerge and soak your cup for 24 hours.
