As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/learn\/for-educators\/whats-state-sex-education-us#:~:text=The%20gap%20between%20the%20sex,essential%20components%20of%20sex%20education.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">schools<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the U.S. often fall short when it comes to educating children and teenagers about sexual health, many people of all ages flock online to learn about sex education and medical advice. However, getting your health information from social media is always iffy, as there is no guarantee or screening for the validity. This pseudoscientific chain of reasoning blew up last year with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/vabbing?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#vabbing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> all over TikTok and dubious claims of success attracting partners, such as\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@jewlieah\/video\/7118068941875973422\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">@jewlieah<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s viral video of vabbing at the gym.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the idea has been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/health\/sexual-health\/a40938627\/what-is-vabbing\/#:~:text=Vabbing%20%E2%80%93%20or%20vaginal%20dabbing%2C%20to,to%20romantic%20and%20sexual%20interests.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">debunked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as an empty trend. There isn\u2019t any scientific research to back up the claim that using vaginal secretions as perfume can increase your odds of attracting a mate, and \u201cvabbing\u201d as a practice hasn\u2019t been studied in a controlled environment. If you do decide to try it out, it\u2019s important to keep hygiene and health in mind; make sure that your vaginal health is on point and you\u2019re not spreading any bacteria or STIs. The trend re-circulated through <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@briannatoni?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TikTok<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> last year, with hashtags like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/tag\/periodstopper?refer=embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#periodstopper<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While ibuprofen may help with delaying or lightening periods, it isn\u2019t designed to halt one entirely and there are no guarantees that it will work.
