Dr. Bailey Birkholz is the Medical Director of Women's Health for Holland Hospital located in Southwestern Michigan, a community approximately 2 hours north of Chicago. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine, received her M.D. at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke's Family Practice in Milwaukee. Following her residency, Dr. Bailey Birkholz completed a fellowship in Women's Health with a focus on female sexual medicine, menopausal medicine, cancer survivorship and cardiovascular disease prevention. Dr. Bailey Birkholz focuses on providing a genuinely comprehensive medical approach with each of her patients. She believes that successful treatment can come from a variety of integrative sources, including complementary and alternative medicine, as well as traditional western medicine. Dr. Bailey Birkholz guides women in selecting optimum approaches through all of life's stages, including adolescence, childbearing, midlife, menopause and beyond. In addition, her leadership role as Medical Director has enabled Dr. Bailey Birkholz to bring unique, sensitive and experienced care and services to women. She specializes in sexual medicine, vulvar health, menopausal medicine and cancer survivorship. Dr. Bark has studied extensively with internationally renowned Homeopaths such as Massimo Mangialavori, Vasillies Ghegas, Rajan Sarkaran, Divya Chabra, Jan Scholten, Paul Herscu and Louis Klein. She initially studied homeopathy at The New England School of Homeopathy in Massachusetts and completed her initial training at The National Center for Homeopathy in Virginia. She finished her training in Hypnotherapy with Dr. Ericca Fromm and with the American society for Clinical Hypnosis. She has maintained a private practice in Homeopathy for more than fifteen years and was the Medical Director for the integrative Medicine department of Advocate Health Care Systems at Good Shepherd Hospital from June of 2000 until July of 2003. In 2012 Dr. Bark was bestowed the honor of becoming the 2nd Vice President of the American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH). She also received her Masters in Healthcare Emergency Management (MHEM) from Boston University Medical School that same year. Because Dr. Bark's practice of Classical Homeopathy involves understanding much more than just the patient's body and environment - for instance, their beliefs and individual view of the world - the patient must be willing to explore the role of dreams, attitudes, fears, hopes and desires in relationship to health and overall life satisfaction.
