Feel your pelvic floor muscles by inserting one finger approximately 1 inch inside your vagina. Rest your finger against the internal sidewalls as you squeeze and lift your anus, urethra, and vagina to feel your pelvic floor muscles contracting. A Kegel exercise should feel similar to the movements to start and stop urine flow. You can test this out next time you urinate by trying to stop mid-stream.
There are two easy ways to check that you are contracting the right muscles: you can either use a lubricated finger to feel the lower edge of your KegelSmart™ moving upwards, or a mirror to see the retraction cord move upwards with each contraction. In the long term, if you progress up through the levels you will know that you are exercising correctly and building strength.
For best results, complete a KegelSmart™ exercise routine daily. Once you have reached your goals, reduce to 3-5 times a week to maintain your tone. Pelvic floor muscles, just like other muscle groups, require regular exercise to stay in great shape so KegelSmart™ should become part of your ongoing exercise routine.

KegelSmart™ is coated in medical grade silicone. This is an ultra-safe, inert material that is developed especially for medical proposes. It is hypoallergenic, latex-free, phthalate-free, and contains zero toxins. Silicone is non-porous and inhibits bacterial growth, making it extra hygienic.
KegelSmart™ has been designed to be completely safe, if used as instructed. Pelvic floor exercisers should not be used during pregnancy or in the early stages of recovery from childbirth. Also, women who have had genitourinary or pelvic surgery should wait at least six weeks before use. If you experience any discomfort while using KegelSmart™ or for specific concerns regarding your health, always consult your medical practitioner.
For easier insertion, we recommend that you first lubricate the device, then turn it on by pressing the O button. Next, holding KegelSmart™ with the O button on the left, fully insert the device into your vagina, keeping the retraction cord outside the body. The routine will start in 30 seconds.
Relax your vaginal muscles, grip the retraction cord and slowly pull the device out.
We recommend that you use your KegelSmart™ routine as an opportunity to take 5 minutes out of your day for quiet relaxation. That way you can focus on the routine and ensure that you use the correct Kegel technique for each contraction.

No. It is advised that expectant mothers refrain from introducing foreign materials into their vaginas while carrying, as there is an increased risk for miscarriage and premature rupturing of the membranes. If you have any questions, please consult your physician.
New moms should wait until they are completely healed before starting to use KegelSmart, usually around 6 weeks. Be sure to speak to your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
KegelSmart™ is equipped with touch sensor technology that allows the device to register the strength of your contractions throughout exercise. It will then collect and analyze the data to calculate your pelvic strength level and choose the exercise program that’s right for you.
To check your level, turn on KegelSmart™ and count the times the LED light (above the O button) flashes. This number is the level you are on (1 flash for level 1, 5 flashes for level 5). To turn off, hold the O button until the LED light turns off.
Every woman is different and will move up levels at a different rate. This can be dependent on your starting pelvic floor strength, your natural ability to build muscle and your diligence with the routines. Staying at the same level does not mean that you aren’t improving; it just means that you haven’t quite progressed enough for the next level. Like any exercise, consistency is important: if you are using the exerciser everyday you will start to feel results.
Yes, moving down a level can happen because KegelSmart™ chooses the level based on your contraction strength in the previous session. If you were distracted and didn’t give your best effort in your last session or maybe took a break from exercising then you might move down a level. Don’t worry, as soon as you get back into shape you will start moving up again.
Staying at the same level does not mean that you aren’t improving; it just means that you haven’t quite progressed enough for the next level. Here are a couple of extra tips:
• Make sure you are doing the exercises correctly and using the right muscles
• Like in all exercise, consistency is key to improvement – we recommend you do the routine every day until you reach your goal
• Concentrate on your exercises, be sure you make every contraction count. Focus on following the vibrations as closely as you can.
Just remember, we are all different, some women will never reach the highest levels. The most important thing is that you feel an improvement in your pelvic health. So don’t be discouraged, you’re still gaining strength and endurance through exercising. Keep at it!
Clean your exerciser before and after each use, either with anti-bacterial soap and water or with a purpose-made product such as our Intimate Accessory Cleaner. Wipe dry with a lint-free towel or cloth. Never use cleansers containing alcohol, petroleum, or acetone as these substances have the potential to disturb your natural balance and they may also damage the silicone on the outer shell of the exerciser.
KegelSmart™ comes with its own antibacterial storage pouch, giving you the perfect place for storage between uses. Make sure you keep it in a cool, dry space away from dust or dirt when you’re not using it.
One AAA-battery should last 200 regular exercise routines. If the device fails to turn on, or there is a drop in vibration intensity, the battery should be changed.
